Rumpke opening buy-back center

HAMILTON TOWNSHIP— Get cash for that trash.
Rumpke Recycling in Hamilton Township will open its buy-back center Saturday, allowing customers to sell their discarded recyclable aluminum cans, paper, steel and scrap metal.
As a grand opening perk, Rumpke will pay 90 cents per pound for aluminum cans. Rumpke Recycling will also have drawings for prizes, free food and live entertainment. There will also be activities for children, including photographs with garbage trucks and Rumpke Recycling’s mascot, Binny.
“Rumpke Recycling wants to make the recycling buy-back center grand opening a special
celebration for the tri-state community,” said Steve Sargent, Rumpke director of recycling. “Our customers truly embrace and understand the importance of recycling, and now residents can receive cash
for their recycling efforts.”
The official opening will be 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. There are no minimums or coupons required to receive cash for recyclables.
After the Aug. 18 grand opening, the recycling buy-back center will be open weekdays 9 a.m.- 5 p.m. weekdays and 9 a.m.-12 p.m. Saturdays.
