Lady Tigers win 2nd match

PROCTORVILLE — What a difference a day makes.
After opening with a win at Rose Hill, Ky., on Monday, Ironton won its volleyball match Tuesday against the Fairland Lady Dragons in straight sets, 25-21, 25-22, 25-14.
“We looked better tonight,” said Ironton coach Beth Campbell. “Fairland has a nice team. They had really good serves and covered the court well. I was a lot more pleased with our performance.”
Jessica Seever led Ironton (2-0) with 13 points including 11 aces and had 26 setting assists. Michelle Pancake led with 8 kills and Kayla Wileman had 12 points and 7 kills. Janie Morris added 8 points.
The Lady Fighting Tigers hosts Gallipolis at 5:30 p.m. next Tuesday at the high school on Delaware Street.
