There’s nothing better than hot dog at a football game. Unless, of course, the hot dog is only 25 cents.
Fans attending this week’s Teen OVC games hosted by the Ironton Eagles at the Ironton High School practice field will be treat to a special hot dog rate of 25 cents in an effort to generate more money for the youth league teams.
“The support of the community is essential in the continuation of this great league,” said Jay Zornes, co-sponsor of the event along with Bruce Roach.
“We are hoping to help out Ironton youth football and we are hoping a big crowd will come out to see the future high school football stars play. These kids, cheerleaders, coaches, and parents work very hard all season and it is our hope to give back a little bit to these folks for their efforts.”
The schedule of games include:
10 a.m. Rock Hill B-team vs. Ironton Bills B; 11:15 a.m. Ironton Eagles A-team vs. Oak Hill; 12:30 p.m. Ironton Eagles B-team vs. Coal Grove; 1:45 p.m. Symmes Valley A-team vs. Rock Hill; 3 p.m. Oak Hill B-team vs. Symmes Valley.
