PEDRO — The South Point Lady Pointers remained one game behind River Valley in the Ohio Valley Conference volleyball race with a 3-1 win over the Rock Hill Redwomen Thursday.
South Point won 25-13, 25-18,, 24-26, and 25-8.
Lady Dragons win
CHESAPEAKE — The Fairland Lady Dragons swept the Chesapeake Lady Panthers Thursday in a “Volley for the Cure” volleyball match.
Fairland won 25-21, 25-9, and 25-20. Katie Henry had 14 aces and Destinee Spears 6 kills to lead the Lady Dragons.
“We played well, but Fairland just played better,” said Panthers coach Dana Edwards who praised the play of Chesy’s Nikki Lindsey.
In the reserve match, Fairland won 25-18, 25-15 behind the play of Kenna Clarkson.

The Rock Hill Junior Redmen posted a 36-6 win over the South Point Junior Pointers Thursday in an Ohio Valley Conference Middle School football game.
