OAK HILL — Coach Rusty Webb didn’t have any excuses for his team, just superlatives for his opponents.

Webb had only praise for the Oak Hill Oaks who beat his Symmes Valley Vikings 45-0 Friday in a Southern Ohio Conference game.

“Oak Hill is a very talented team. They are big, fast, and hard to handle,” said Webb.

The Oaks racked up 425 total yards as they improved to 3-5 on the season and 1-2 in the SOC.

Symmes Valley (2-6, 1-2) managed just 63 total yards. The Vikings had 27 net yards rushing on 32 carries.

“We did not execute,” said Webb. “Our offense didn’t execute and neither did our defense.”

Pete Fisher rushed 11 times for 123 yards and two touchdowns and Jesse Slone threw for 116 yards and a touchdown to lead Oaks.

Bobby Kidd had a 7-yard scoring run midway through the first quarter and Fisher a 10-yard scamper on the last play of the quarter for a 13-0 lead.

Fisher ran 40 yards and R.P. Rook kicked a 31-yard field goal as time expired and it was 24-0 at the half.

Oak Hill scored on the final play of the third quarter on a 29-yard pass from Jesse Slone to J.D. Hale and it was 38-0.

Fullback Chris Dupree capped the Oak Hill scoring with a 34-yard gallop with 5:36 to play.

The Vikings play at home on Saturday against Portsmouth Notre Dame in a league game.
