Two men were treated at a local hospital and two others were arrested early morning following a fight outside the Auger Inn on South Third Street.
Ironton Police Chief Jim Carey said Jameson McKnight, 22, of 1023 S. Fifth St., Ironton and Jarrod McKnight, 24, of 1612 S. Third St., Ironton, were each charged with felonious assault and taken to the Lawrence County Jail.
They were arraigned Monday afternoon in Ironton Municipal Court.
Carey said officers were called to the bar fight at 1:17 a.m. but the people involved in the fight left before officers arrived. Authorities were called again at 2:34 a.m.
“It appears two men got into an altercation and left,” Carey explained. “They returned to get a vehicle and were jumped by the two suspects.”
Carey said the victims had facial wounds and one had bite marks. He said he believes both victims were treated and released from the hospital.
He did not release the names of the two victims.
