BURLINGTON — A Lowe’s employee has been arrested for placing cameras in the public restroom at the Lowe’s in Burlington.
John Friend, 25, of Coal Grove was arrested Monday for voyeurism.
He was taken into custody while at work.
A female customer noticed the cameras and alerted management, according to a report from the Lawrence County Sheriff’s Office.
Friend is being charged with videotape, film, photograph, or otherwise recording a person under or through the clothing.
A spokesperson with Lowe’s Companies, Inc., declined comment Tuesday, but said the company was cooperating with local authorities.
Friend is scheduled for arraignment Friday in Lawrence County Municipal Court.
