Hooks for Books#8217; set for RHMS

Round one goes to the victor. Round two goes to the real winners: students.

The Hooks for Books boxing event will be held at 7 p.m. Friday and Saturday at Rock Hill Middle School with proceeds to benefit scholarship money for local high schools.

Students from schools in Lawrence and Scioto counties in Ohio and Wayne County, W.Va. are invited to participate.

High school students are eligible to box. Each contest will consist of three 1-minute rounds and participants are within one year of each other and within 10 pounds of the other fighter.

Boxers will use 12-ounce gloves and head gear. All USA Olympic boxing rules apply and fights will use USA boxing judges.

The Hooks for Books organization will pay for insurance.
