UPPER TOWNSHIP — Wednesday morning’s snowfall is being considered a factor in a fatal accident on State Route 141 near Sugar Creek Christian Academy.
Aaron Justice, 23, of Ironton, was killed when the 1993 Chevrolet S-10 pickup truck he was driving collided head-on with a 2002 Ford Excursion driven by Garrick Alexander, 42, of Willow Wood.
Ohio State Highway Patrol troopers said Justice was taken to King’s Daughters Medical Center where he was pronounced dead. Alexander refused medical treatment at the scene.
The accident happened just after 7 a.m. between mileposts 4 and 5 on State Route 141. It remains under investigation.
State troopers said there were numerous accidents Wednesday morning because of the inclement weather.
