Mr. and Mrs Frank McClellan of Ironton are pleased to announce the engagement and forthcoming marriage of their daughter Amanda Gail to Marcus Daniel Thompson.

Marcus is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Dave Thompson of Lucasville.

Amanda is the granddaughter of Mr. Frank D. McClellan and the late Alice McClellan and Mr. and Mrs. Jack Wade.

Marcus is the grandson of the late Mr. and Mrs. Cleo Thompson and the late Mr. and Mrs. George Leadingham.

Amanda is a 2004 graduate of Ironton High School and a 2007 graduate of Ohio University with a Bachelor of Science in Early Childhood Education.

The Ironton city schools employ her as a substitute teacher.

Marcus is a 2001 graduate of Valley High School and a 2003 graduate of Shawnee State University with an Associates’ Degree in Applied Science.

He is employed at King’s Daughter’s Medical Center as an ccupational therapy sssistant.

The couple will be married July 26, 2008, at the First Tabernacle Church in Ironton.
