JACKSON — It never gets old.

The celebration and elation are just as good each season as far as the Fairland Dragons are concerned.

Fairland won its third straight Division III sectional championship with a 67-60 win over the Alexander Spartans Saturday.

The Dragons (17-5) will play North Adams at 3:45 p.m. next Sunday at the Ohio University Convocation Center in the district semifinals.

The Fairland vs. North Adams game will be the second of four district games next Sunday.

Ironton takes on Peebles at 2 p.m. to start the day. After Fairland, Chesapeake takes on Huntington Ross at 5:30 and Wheelersburg plays Piketon at 7:15.

Huntington Ross finished third in the final Associated Press poll and Wheelersburg was sixth.
