Ironton police are looking for the person who held up the Dollar General Store at Third and Center streets Thursday. It was the second such incident in Ironton in a week.
Just after 5 p.m. Thursday, store employees alerted police an armed robber had fled on foot after holding up the store. The suspect was last seen in an alley headed toward Fourth Street. No information on the suspect’s description was immediately available.
On April 4, employees at Cashland, 205 S. Sixth St., told police their store was robbed just after 7 p.m. The suspect in that incident was described as a white male wearing a black coat and a green toboggan.
It is unknown if the two robberies are connected.
