If Jessica Seevers is a work in progress, she just might be drawing the blueprints herself.

The Ironton Lady Fighting Tigers senior will get a chance to continue building her volleyball career after signing a letter-of-intent with Fairmont State University.

And one of the reasons Seevers picked the Falcons program is because of its architecture school.

“I liked the team and the school. It’s not a real big campus. It’s like Ironton. It’s easy to get around,” said Seevers.

During her career at Ironton, Seevers was an All-Southeastern Ohio Athletic League selection and was named to the Division III all-district team.

She helped the team win back-to-back sectional championships for the first time in school history.

Seevers selected Fairmont State over Georgetown (Ky.) College, Mount Vernon Nazarene, and Eastern Kentucky University.

The Falcons are coached by Larry Hill who won his 500th career game this past season.

“(Coach Hill) said he would use me anywhere because I was a versatile player,” said Seevers.

“They have a good program. I know I can play there. I feel like I fit there,” said Seevers.

Jessica is the daughter of Pastor and Mrs. Brad and Kim Seevers of Ironton.
