Big Brothers Big Sisters of the Tri-State are planning two events in conjunction with Summer Motion with the goal of helping area youth.

The Third Annual Bid For Kids’ Sake will be held on

June 27 at 7 p.m. at Bellefonte Country Club in Ashland, Ky.

The silent and live auction will feature many exciting items such as a trip to Belize, whitewater rafting, Marshall University and Ohio State University football tickets, Canaan Valley golf package, major league autographed baseballs, Greenbrier golf package, footballs autographed by Chad Pennington, Troy Brown and others, jerseys autographed by Brandon Webb and Randy Moss, P. Buckley Moss print, first pitch at West Virginia Power game and much more.

Marshall University Head basketball coach Donnie Jones will serve as honorary chair of the event.

The 8th Annual Golf For Kids’ Sake will be held on June 30 at Bellefonte Country Club.

Golf For Kids Sake, will feature a scramble format with a shotgun start at 9

a.m. Registration will begin at 7:30 a.m.

Lunch will be served after the event concludes.

The fee is $500 per team or $125 per person.

Hole sponsorships are $100.

The agency invites hole and corporate sponsorships from the community.

Both events will be held in conjunction with Summer Motion.
