John and Vicky Mathis, of Ironton, announce the engagement of their daughter, Natalie Kay Mathis, to Nicholas Carl Erlenwein, son of Gary and Lesa Erlenwein of West Portsmouth.

The bride-to-be

graduated from Ironton St. Joseph Central Catholic High School in 2002 and from Shawnee State University with a bachelor of science degree in accounting in 2006.

She will receive her masters in business administration from Marshall University. She is employed by The Fyffe Jones Group in Ashland, Ky. She is the granddaughter of Lela and Fred Neville, of Ironton and the late Vada and John K Mathis, Sr.

The groom-elect is a 2003 graduate of Portsmouth West High School and is a certified surgical technologist. He is employed by Southern Ohio Medical Center in Portsmouth. He is the grandson of Sam and Diane Erlenwein of West Portsmouth and Joan and Harry Lusk of McDermott.

The couple will exchange vows Aug. 2 at St. Lawrence O’Toole Church in Ironton.
