North rolls by South in All-Star Classic

COLUMBUS — Ryan Radcliff completed 14 of 21 passes for two touchdowns and made a 5-yard touchdown run Saturday as the North beat the South, 31-9, during the Ohio North-South Classic at Ohio Stadium.

Radcliff, a Fairview graduate who will play for Central Michigan in the fall, also was named the game’s most valuable player.

Euclid receiver Devon Jennings caught two touchdowns, including a one-hand grab from Radcliff with nine minutes left in the third quarter. Jennings also was named North’s offensive MVP.

Olentangy’s Kenny Anunike caught three passes for 76 yards, including a 22-yard touchdown pass from Harrison Central’s Robbie Davia. Anunike, who will play for Duke next year, was named the offensive MVP.

Toledo St. John’s Andrew Schaetzke, who will play for Georgetown, was North’s defensive MVP. Teays Valley’s Walt Stewart was the South’s defensive MVP.

The North leads the series, 37-23-3. The North has won three of the last four.

Coal Grove lineman Dustin Harmon started for the South All-Stars. South Point head coach Doug Shilot served as a South assistant.
