Johnda Rife of Pedro and Richard Rife of Winter Haven, Fla. announce the engagement of their daughter, Holly Leeann Howell of Ironton to Brian Edward Akers of Ironton, the son of Bill and Jeannie Akers.

The wedding will be Saturday, Sept. 6, 2008, at 6 p.m. at the gazebo in Paul Porter Park. A reception will be in Ironton immediately following the wedding.

The bride-to-be is a 2000 graduate of Rock Hill High School and is attending Ashland Community College studying office administration. The groom-to-be is a 1987 graduate of Ironton High School and is self-employed. Ceremony and reception are open to friends and relatives and invitations have been sent.
