David and Tina Jordan of Chesapeake announce the engagement of their daughter, Brittany Jordan, to Kirk Barton, son of Brigette Barton of Massillon, and the late Kirk Barton Sr.

The bride to be is a 2003 graduate of Chesapeake High School and a 2007 graduate of Ohio State University with a bachelor’s of arts degree in economics. She is employed as a proposal analyst with Nationwide in Columbus.

Her fianc/ is a 2003 graduate of Perry High School and a 2007 graduate of OSU, with a bachelor of arts degree in history. Kirk was a four-year starter and captain of the Ohio State Football Team. He was selected in the 2008 NFL draft by the Chicago Bears.

A 2009 summer wedding is being planned in Columbus.
