St. Joe remain unbeaten

The offense had no trouble scoring. Because of the defense, the Ohio Valley Christian Crusaders’ offense did.

The St. Joseph Flyers defense proved too formidable for the Crusaders as the unbeaten Flyers rolled to a 9-2 win Tuesday.

“Our midfielders and defensemen played an excellent game. They played hard the whole game,” said Flyers coach Dan Blair.

On the offensive side, Payton Blair racked up three goals while Chad Harvey had two goals and an assist.

Ian Simpson, Michael Pina, Cody Blackburn and Ike Palmer also scored a goal for the Flyers.

St. Joseph (6-0) hosts Point Pleasant, W.Va, at 5:30 p.m. Thursday.
