Concerned Citizens of Burlington appreciative

The Concerned Citizens of Burlington Area are very appreciative for the assistance with or annual cleanup and rummage sale.

Although our Chairperson Ed Moellendick was out of town, he made all of the preparations and continued to make sure everything was going according to plans via telephone.

Without the help of our Fayette Township trustees, Clerk Terry Wise, Maintenance Supervisor Mike Jones, Judge Capper’s county court workers, Lawrence County Solid Waste Department, County Engineer Dave Lynd, Armstrong Cable and Commissioner Tanner Heaberlin this would not have been successful.

Businesses contributing were Wendy’s, McDonald’s Sam’s Club, Wal Mart, Navy Trucking Company, Taco Bell, Ponderosa and Street Productions.

A cookout luncheon, with Margaret Pennington as the chief cook and Mary Forgey, assisting, was served to all of the volunteers.

Many other volunteer residents joined to help make our rummage sale and cleanup a very successful event.

Thanks to everyone and we hope to see you again next year!
