Talk about an unexpected neighborhood visit.

A 32- foot pleasure boat rolled down an embankment Sunday and slid into a house on Township Road 1289.

Lawrence County Sheriff’s Office Chief Deputy Jeff Lawless said no one was in the house at the time of the incident and no one was injured.

“The guy was moving the boat around in his driveway, trying to get it winterized and it rolled about 50 yards and struck the house,” Lawless said.

The boat, belonging to Jeremy Hutchinson, damaged two rooms of the Adam Riddlebaugh residence, according to information from Deputy Jason Newman.

The incident happened just before 3 p.m.
