SOUTH POINT – There is a boil water advisory currently for specified streets in the village of South Point because of a water line break Monday.

The area affected takes in 4th St., 3rd St., 2nd St. E. and all streets turning off of streets from Ashland Drive to Solida Road. Water should be boiled at least one minute for water used for drinking, cooking or oral hygiene, according to a village press release.

The water department has no evidence that the water system is contaminated but the possibility does exist so the village recommends the advisory.

If there is no further notice made after Wednesday, the advisory will be lifted.
