Volleyball enthusiasts will find their métier Saturday when the Ohio University Proctorville Center plays host to the 16th annual Bobcat Bash.
The bash runs from noon to 3 p.m. in the back parking lot of the center.
There will be a volleyball tournament where those attending can create their own teams, plus free food, games, music and children’s games.
Also, the Proctorville Center is joining the OUS campus in sponsoring a food drive for 140 homeless veteran families in the region.
Professors and students are asked to participate by bringing in non-perishable food and household items.
“These veterans, along with their wives and kids have been placed in homes and have little to nothing to start out on,” according to a press release. “Some have stated that all they want in the world is a coffee pot.”
Items may be placed in boxes stationed around campus.
