DORIS HOLTZAPHFEL

Doris E. Holtzapfel, 82, of Ironton, passed away Monday, Nov. 3, 2008, at King’s Daughters Medical Center in Ashland, Ky.
The Ironton native was born March 2, 1926, the daughter of the late Herman Hacker and Ruby Greile Hacker Stivers.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Joseph W. Holtzapfel, who passed away Dec. 2, 2005.
Mrs. Holtzapfel was a 1943 graduate of Ironton High School and attended Miami University. She was a homemaker and worked 18 years at Merle Norman Cosmetic Studio in Ironton. She was also a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church.
In addition to her parents and husband, she was also preceded in death by a daughter, Jane Ann Holtzapfel.
She is survived by a son and daughter-in-law, Michael J. and Sandra Holtzapfel, of Florence, Ky.; a daughter and son-in-law, Susan E. and Mike Morgan, of Ironton; a daughter and son-in-law, Mary Lynn and Donald Bosway, of Florence, Ky.; a grandson and wife, Andy and Jamie Holtzapfel; a grandson and his wife, John and Kristina Holtzapfel; a granddaughter, Katie Holtzapfel; a grandson, Joe Holtzapfel; a granddaughter and her husband, Dr. Amy and Steve Press; a grandson and his wife, Dr. Joe and Jocelynn Morgan; a grandson and his wife, Dan and Rachel Morgan; a granddaughter, Sydney Bosway; a grandson, Ethan Bosway; great grandchildren, Drew Press, Colin Press, Will Press, Nate Morgan and Emma Holtzapfel; and a sister, Glenna Gobel, of Ironton.
Mass of Christian Burial will be 11a.m. Wednesday at St. Joseph Catholic Church with Father David Huffman officiating. Burial will follow in Calvary Cemetery.
