OKLAHOMA CITY — Ohio State’s Malcolm Jenkins, Missouri’s William Moore and Georgia’s Asher Allen are among the 13 semifinalists for the Thorpe Award, given each year to college football’s top defensive back.

Semifinalists were announced Tuesday and will be narrowed to three finalists later this month.

The winner will be announced at the college football awards show on Dec. 11.

Other semifinalists are Tennessee’s Eric Berry, South Carolina’s Emanuel Cook, Illinois’ Vontae Davis, North Carolina’s Trimane Goddard, Kentucky’s Trevard Lindley, Southern Cal’s Taylor Mays, Cincinnati’s Mike Mickens, Vanderbilt’s D.J. Moore, Wake Forest’s Alphonso Smith and Michigan State’s Otis Wiley.
