Janet Lee Cole, 65, of Ironton, died Thursday, Nov. 6, 2008, at King’s Daughters Medical Center in Ashland, Ky.
The Lawrence County native was born June 8, 1943, the daughter of the late Thomas and Louise Cauley Boggs. She is survived by her husband, Donald Cole of Ironton.
She attended Waterloo Schools, was of the Baptist faith and was a homemaker.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by three sisters, Evelyn Boggs, Sandra Gail Boggs and Donna May Boggs.
In addition to her husband, she is survived by five daughters and three sons–in–law, Mona Deese, of Sciotoville, Sarah Louise and Harry Smith, of Chillicothe, Debra Falk, of Ironton, Carrie and Jason Barnes, of Ironton, and Cheryl and Mark Fielder, of Waverly; a son, Leslie Cole, of Ironton; seven grandchildren; two great grandchildren; two brothers, Tom Boggs, of Pocahontas, Tenn., and Jim Boggs of Roswell, N. M.; three sisters, Pat Redmond, of Springfield, Martha Wright, of Muncy, Ind., and Betty Holderberry, of Columbus; and two foster sons, Matt Scott and Sam Ferrell.
Graveside service will be 11 a.m. Monday at Rehobeth Cemetery with the Revs. Joe Miller and Jeff Miller officiating. There will be no public visitation. Phillips Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements. To offer condolences to the family, please visit www.phillipsfuneralhome.net.
