Tickets are on sale now for the annual Lawrence County Policeman’s Ball. The ball will be December 20 at the Knights of Columbus. It is sponsored by the local Fraternal Order of Police but is open to the public, according to Pam Neal Wagner, local F.O.P. president.

“It is open to anyone who would like to come and enjoy the holidays with us,” Wagner said. “You don’t necessarily have to be in law enforcement.”

Tickets are on sale through any F.O.P. member and are $24 per single and $40 per couple. Dress is semi-formal. Happy hour and dinner are 7-9 p.m. with the band Southern Thunder playing 9 p.m.-1 a.m.

Proceeds from the ball will go to fund the county’s K-9 units and drug education programs.
