Construction reason for road, grass condition

Published 11:01 am Tuesday, December 9, 2008

I am writing this letter in response to the letter from the reader in Kentucky who was complaining about the condition of Route U.S. 52. In his own words he said that he didn’t come over here very often and that is obvious.

If he did he would know what is going on with this stretch of road and the fact that this is an 18-month project that cannot be worked on during winter months. That is the reason that it hadn’t been mowed because they have been working on it all summer and there have been barricades sitting on the highway to keep it from being mowed.

I am very proud of the fact that the state of Ohio is working on this project and I have to travel this road two to three times a day, along with 40-plus trucks of ours and I feel certain given enough time this will be one of the nicest stretches of road in Ohio once finished.

The reader should know all the facts before complaining because as of today even all the grass and weeds have been mowed.
