PEDRO — Robert J. “Bob” Bailey, 76, of Pedro, passed away Tuesday, Dec. 30, 2008, at a local health center. He was born June 5, 1932, in Lawrence County, the son of the late Charles Edward and Dorothy Irene Scior Bailey.
He was preceded in death by his parents, a granddaughter, Allie Mae Sanders; and a brother, David L. Bailey.
He was a former bartender at the Marlow Grill for many years and graduated from Pedro High School. He was a member of the Ironton Elks.
He is survived by his wife, Doris Smith Bailey whom he married Jan. 5, 1952; two sons and a daughter-in-law, Michael L. and Kim Bailey of Radcliff, Ky., Robert A. Bailey and Janet of Ironton; a daughter, Tina E. White of Ironton; five grandchildren, Charles E. Bailey Jr., David L. Bailey, Denise D. Bailey, Bethany Bloomfield, and Robert Gene Bailey; and 10 great grandchildren.
