Three arrested for drugs in Portsmouth

PORTSMOUTH — Three from Scioto County were arrested Wednesday by the sheriff’s office narcotics unit.
At 1:10 p.m. the unit executed a search warrant at the home of Pearlon W. Maynard, 42, and Michelle D. Maynard, 29, at 90 Rose St. McDermott.
Officers found Oxycontin, Oxycodone, Methadone, Vicodin, Lorcet, Xodol, Suboxone, Endocet and drug paraphernalia, according to a press release from Sheriff Marty V. Donini. The pair were arrested at the scene and transported to the Scioto County Jail.
Pearlon Maynard was charged with trafficking in Oxycodone, a third degree felony, and possession of Methadone, a fifth degree felony. Michelle Maynard was charged with trafficking in Oxycodone and possession of the drug, a fifth degree felony.
Also arrested at the scene was Summer D. Cantrell, 31, of 1619 Mound St., Portsmouth, for an indictment warrant issued by the Scioto Common Pleas Court on four counts of theft of a firearm, a third degree felony, and burglary, a second degree felony.
The Maynards are being held each on a $12, 500 bond and were to have been arraigned this morning in Portsmouth Municipal Court. Their cases will be sent to the grand jury.
Cantrell is being held without bond.
