Each Friday night for the last year, Peddler’s has donated pizza to the youths housed at the Ironton facility. Rax Restaurant is also now donating doughnuts.

Peddler’s owner Darlene Rutledge said she hopes other local businesses will the see the value, even in uneasy economic times, of giving back to the community.
“If everyone would pick a day and help the kids there,” she said. “It doesn’t matter what they’ve done, they’re still kids. I know they appreciate people doing something.”
