ASHLAND, Ky. — The Alltech Fortnight Festival is proud to present the Dublin Philharmonic Orchestra on Tuesday, February 24, at 7 p.m. at the Paramount Arts Center. After a recent Alltech Fortnight Festival January appearance in Lexington, Ireland’s leading symphony will make its second Kentucky appearance during their inaugural, 49 concert U.S. tour.

Founded in the mid 1800s, The Dublin Philharmonic Orchestra, together with the Royal Irish Academy of Music, represented the pillars of Irish classical music life at a time when Dublin, after London, was considered the most vibrant and distinctive city in the British Isles. This tour is the groups first in the United States.
