Blue Devils end losing streak

Gerald Henderson scored 19 points and Duke’s starters scored all but four points as the ninth-ranked Blue Devils snapped a two-game losing streak with a 76-69 victory over St. John’s on Thursday night.
The Blue Devils (21-5) came in having lost three of four, including the consecutive losses to North Carolina and Boston College.
Jon Scheyer had 18 points, Kyle Singler scored 15, Elliot Williams had a career-high 11 and Lance Thomas added nine for Duke. The start was the sixth this season for Thomas and the second for Williams as coach Mike Krzyzewski made some changes to the lineup.

VILLANOVA, Pa. (AP) — Scottie Reynolds scored 21 points and Corey Stokes had 17.
Corey Fisher scored seven of his 14 points in a 2-minute stretch midway through the second half that turned a two-point hole into a 63-56 lead. Villanova (21-5, 9-4 Big East) then went 8-for-11 from the floor and used a 20-5 run to win for the seventh time in the past eight games.
Charlotte 65, No. 16 Xavier 60
CHARLOTTE, N.C. (AP) — Ian Andersen scored 16 points and Lamont Mack scored all 12 of his points in the final 8 minutes.
Mack, Charlotte’s top scorer coming in, got into early foul trouble and missed his first six shots. He then hit four of his final six, including a 3-pointer with 31 seconds left to put the 49ers ahead 62-58.
