South Point — Eddie Gene Daniels, 53, of South Point, passed away Tuesday, March 3, 2009, at his residence. The Floyd County native was born March 27, 1955, the son of the late Floyd Eugene and Alma “Sally” Roberts Daniels. He is survived by his wife, Charlotte Roman Daniels. Mr. Daniels attended Coal Grove Schools and was a U.S. Army Vietnam veteran. He was a carpenter at Dan’s Home Improvement and was of the Baptist faith. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his mother-in-law and father-in-law, Opal and Nick Roman. In addition to his wife, he is survived by two daughters and their fiancés, Sally Daniels and Anthony Burks and Candace Daniels and Eric Johnson, all of South Point; a daughter, April Daniels of South Point; two sons, Archie Norris of Nitro, W.Va., and Wyatt Blevins of Missouri; a grandson, Remington “Little Mister” Johnson; three brothers and sisters-in-law, Timothy and Rebecca Daniels, Danny and Linda Daniels, and Rick and Leah Daniels, all of Ironton; two sisters and brothers-in-law, Malinda and Ray Jones of Ironton and Lilly and Stephen Bowen of Kentucky.
Funeral services will be 2 p.m. Saturday at Phillips Funeral Home, with the Rev. Mike Dement and Deacon Berkley Carrico officiating. Friends may call from 6-9 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.
