Ruth Ellen Ratliff, a lifelong resident of Ironton, passed away, Tuesday, March 3, 2009. Ruth was born Nov. 7, 1937. Ruth was a devoted wife of 41 years to husband Richard who preceded her in death. Ruth is survived by her brother, Donald (Lois) Diamond of Springfield; nieces Diane (Gary) Walls of South Point, Elizabeth (Terry) Clark of Franklin Furnace, Tonya Diamond of Springfield; nephew Ronald (Kay) Diamond of South Point; sister in law, Georgie (Robert) Shipley of Ironton; and special caregiver Jackie Burchfield of Ironton. Ruth’s fun loving spirit will be sadly missed by all who knew her.
Funeral will be at 11:30 a.m. Friday at O’Keefe Baker Funeral Home with the Rev. Leon Dalton officiating. Burial will follow in Hecla Cemetery. Visitation is from 10 a.m. until service time.
