NKU Choir wins silver

Courtney Lutz, daughter of Michael and Donna Lutz, is a member of The Northern Kentucky University Chamber Choir that won a silver medal at the Busan International Choral Festival and Competition.

The NKU Choir was the only choir to represent the United States in this competition. Mixed voice choirs from China, Nigeria, the Phillippines, Malaysia, Korea, Japan, Bulgaria, Hong, Kong, Singapore and Russia were among the 19 countries and 40 choirs that met in Busan, South Korea for the six day competition and festival.

In addition, the NKU Chamber Choir was one of eight choirs selected to perform in the Gala Concert at the Busan City Cultural Concert Hall. The NKU choir was also selected to perform at open air events at the Busan City Hall and the local university.

Courtney is currently a senior and graduates in May with a Bachelor’s degree in Music. She is also the grand-daughter of John and Cornelia Lutz.
