KENOVA, W.Va. — Geneva Lou Bellomy 62, of Kenova, W.Va. went to be reunited with her beloved Mother and Daddy, Tuesday, March 24, 2009.
She was born June 30, 1946, in Louisa, Ky., and was the daughter of the late Hurshell and Betty Salmons.
She was a graduate of Fort Gay High School, a member of Oakview Missionary Baptist Church, and a retired aide with the Wayne County School Board. Most importantly, she was a loving wife, a caring mother and a beautiful grandma.
She is survived by her husband of 43 years, Roger Bellomy, their children, Kyle Bellomy and his wife Amy, of Prichard, Melissa Smith and her husband Todd, of Prichard, and Chad Bellomy and his wife Jamie of Chesapeake, Ohio. Also surviving are five grandchildren, Shelby and Lindsey Bellomy, Tyler and Brooke Smith, all of Prichard, and Mackie Bellomy, of Chesapeake, all of whom were grandma’s angels. Also surviving is a special sister, Carol and brother-in-law, Bob Wellman of Kenova along with a host of special nephews and nieces that include Jason and Mary Ann Wellman of Kenova, Amber Wellman of St. Simon Island, Ga. Michele Wellman of Kenova, Jamie and Stephanie Wellman of Ft. Worth, Texas, and Al Wellman and wife Kathy of Huntington, W.Va.
Funeral services will be conducted at 1 p.m. Friday by Pastor Scott Byard at Ceredo-Kenova Funeral Home. Visitation will be 6-8 p.m. today at the funeral home.
