IRONTON — At the annual RENT-2-OWN awards banquet held earlier this month, Anthony Shipkosky took home top honors as the company’s Employee of the Year for 2008.

Shipkosky has been with the company since 2003, starting as a Delivery Specialist, then working as an account manager and assistant manager. He was promoted to manager of the Ironton location in July of 2006.

Company President Mike Tissot stated, “He lives and breathes RENT-2-OWN, and pours his heart into all that happens here.”

He and his son, Layne, reside in Huntington.

RENT-2-OWN currently operates 23 stores in the southern Ohio-northern Kentucky region.

The newest is located in Amelia.

Their 200 employees serve over 12,000 satisfied customers. RENT-2-OWN opened its doors 24 years ago in Hillsboro.

They are still a family-owned and operated organization, headquartered out of Bainbridge.
