Rock Hill High School will present the musical “Into the Woods” this weekend at the high school cafetorium.

“Into the Woods” is an intertwining of popular children’s fairy tales with a message: actions have consequences.

Nineteen students have roles in the production; another 19 or so are involved behind the scenes.

The lineup includes narrator, Brandi Malone; Cinderella, Mycah Pemberton; Jack, David Jenkins; Jack’s Mother, Savannah Burge; the baker, Levi Dalton, the baker’s wife, Caitlyn Donohue; Cinderella’s stepmother, Rebecca Marshall; Florinda, Rachel May; Lucinda, Rachel Stevens; Cinderella’s father, Bill Roach; Little Red Ridinghood, Sarah Hartwig; the witch, Ashton Brammer; Cinderella’s mother, Brianna Hairston; the mysterious man, Chris Wilson; the wolf, C. Rock Hill High School Music Director Rhonda Pemberton said the annual venture into the world of theater is a chance for students to grow and shine.

“This is an opportunity for students to experience theater,” Pemberton said. “We don’t have very many students who become involved in ACC or the Backstage Players,” Pemberton said. “They get something experience they might not otherwise have.”

Show times are 8 p.m. Friday and Saturday. Admission is $5 for general admission and $3 for seniors and Rock Hill students.
