WAYNE, W.Va. — This is one time when having a stroke is a good thing.

The Fairland hitters were “stroking” the ball to the tune of 10 hits as the Dragons beat the Wayne Pioneers 5-3 Friday night.

“We had 10 hits and we hit two or three bullets that were caught. I was pretty pleased with the way we stroked the ball tonight,” said Fairland coach Roger Snyder.
