Rotarians help county students achieve success

I would like to thank the Ironton Rotary Club for providing our third grade students with a copy of their very own dictionary.

The Rotarians put service above self and strive to find ways to improve our community.

Our students will remember the day they selflessly gave of their time and resources and presented them with a tool they could use to help them become successful in school.

Service organizations such as the Rotary Club provide our communities with not only physical and human resources which improves the recipients’ quality of life but also provides hope to all in a community who knew that there are those who care and are willing to give of themselves to provide whatever is necessary to those in need. We rely heavily on service organizations when disaster strikes and we know that they will be there ready and willing to lend a hand.

The Ironton Rotarians touched many lives through their gifts to our school. I’m sure some of these students will become involved in service organizations and will give back to their community, as they become adults.

The saying “you reap what you sow” is so true. Our Rotary Club has sown seeds of appreciation for their thoughtfulness from growing minds.

I commend you and other service organizations we sometimes take for granted for the many contributions you make to our youth and our communities.
