CHESAPEAKE — Allison Chapman took matters into her own hands.

Chapman struck out 12 of the 15 batters she faced as she pitched a five-inning perfect game and the Chesapeake Lady Panthers remained unbeaten with a 10-0 win over the Coal Grove Lady Hornets on Monday in an Ohio Valley Conference game.

“She threw pretty well. She worked ahead in the count and got to pitch from a pitcher’s count instead of a hitter’s count,” said Chesapeake coach Aaron Rice.
