MARY MAHAN

Mary E. (Allen) Mahan, 72, passed away Sunday, May 3, 2009 at Holzer Medical Center in Gallipolis.
She was born May 3, 1937 in Lawrence Co. to the late Oakley and Elizabeth (Messer) Allen.
She attended Upper Ministries Church in Oak Hill, and was a loving mother, grandmother and great grandmother.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 50 years, George K. Mahan; father and mother-in-law, John and Minnie Mahan; son Kenneth Mahan; grandson, Little Kenny; brothers, James Allen, Walton Allen; sisters, Alice Viars, Alma Gee, and Infants, Nellie Kay and Christine.
She is survived by a son, Tim (Pam) Mahan, of South Webster; a daughter, Rena (Tim) Potts, of Oak Hill; her grandchildren, Kevin, Wanda, Renee, Timmy Mahan, and T.J. Potts, of Oak Hill. Also surviving are step grandchildren, Christol and Ricky Crabtree of Portsmouth, Chris Hightower, of South Webster; and several great grandchildren, nephews, nieces relatives and friends.
Funeral service will be 1 p.m. Thursday at the Kuhner-Lewis Funeral Home with Pastor Dave Phillips officiating. Burial will follow in Horeb Cemetery. Friends may call 2-8 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home. Online condolences may be sent to www.e-k-lewisfuneral.com.
