WASHINGTON TOWNSHIP — One person has apparently been shot in what has been reported as a hunting accident this morning on Telegraph Ridge in Washington Township near the Lawrence-Scioto line.

Scioto County authorities notified the Lawrence County Sheriff’s Office at 7:35 a.m. that a person had been shot and was aided by both medical personnel and Scioto County law enforcement until Lawrence County deputies could get to the scene.

Sheriff Jeff Lawless said the incident took place near four wheeler trails just off Telegraph Ridge.
