CHESAPEAKE — This was a meet about teamwork.

In an all-relay meet, Fairland’s boys and girls won the Chesapeake Relays on Tuesday.

“I started this meet to give the kids a little change-up, and it gets a lot more kids involved,” said Chesapeake coach Phil Davis.

The Lady Dragons had 69 points followed by River Valley with 60, Ironton 55 and Chesapeake 46.

Fairland had 70 points to edge River Valley by one point in the boys meet. Ironton had 57 points, Rock Hill 28 and Chesapeake 22.

Rock Hill will host its invitational on Friday.
