All week long my stepson had been looking forward to meeting his football idol after he saw the sign located at the South Point Foodfair stating Chad Pennington would be at South Point High School on May 7 at 6 p.m.

He was so excited. That evening we ran to Ashland, Ky., to pick up a new football with the hopes of obtaining Chad’s autograph. Upon arriving at SPHS we were told that this was a dinner meeting at $100 per ticket. There was nothing at all on the sign stating this. The disappointment on my stepson’s face was evident.

Chad if you see this story, there is a little 8-year-old boy that would love to meet you.
