HAVERHILL — Three Dog Night once sang, “One Is The Loneliest Number.”

Ironton pitcher Kylie Summers didn’t mind being lonely as she gave up just one hit and the Lady Fighting Tigers blanked the Chillicothe Lady Cavaliers 10-0 Wednesday in a Southeastern Ohio Athletic League game.

Summers struck out three and walked one in the five-inning game.

Ironton combined six hits, eight walked and four Chillicothe errors to produce the win.

Karlie Collins sparked the offense as she went 2-3 with a double. Nikki Elswick, Taylor Lilly, Summers and Ironton’s lone senior Jessica Brown all had a hit.

The Lady Tigers travel to Chesapeake at 5 p.m. on Friday in the Division III sectional finals.
