SOUTH POINT — Lawrence County Sheriff’s deputies are seeking any information as to the whereabouts of a man reported missing by his family earlier this week.
Linda Thacker told deputies her step-father, Robert E. “Pee Wee” Robinson, 46, of 370 Township Road 276N, South Point, was last seen just before noon April 26 when he told family members he was going out to Sandusky Hollow.
Lawrence County Sheriff Jeff Lawless said foul play is not suspected at this time, however, family members are worried because they are not sure what has happened to him.
“He has been known to wander from time to time but he has always checked in,” Lawless said.
Thacker told police she called Robinson’s cell phone the afternoon he went missing and another man answered it. When she threatened to call and report it stolen, the other man gave the phone to Robinson, who told Thacker he was on his way to visit family in Walker, W.Va. When she tried later in the day to speak with Robinson, the other man answered Robinson’s cell phone but she was unable to speak with her step-father.
Thacker told deputies when she spoke with family members in West Virginia they told her they had not spoken with Robinson in approximately a month.
Robinson was last seen wearing black work boots and jeans. The family could not provide information about what kind of shirt he was wearing. Robinson has tattoos on each forearm. He has the word “Pee” on one arm and “Wee” on the other. He also has a skull in a cowboy hat tattooed on one arm.
Those with information about Robinson may call the sheriff’s office at 740-532-3525.
