AID — With the threat of rain, the Symmes Valley Lady Vikings decided to move things along quickly.

Not only did Symmes Valley start their Division IV sectional championship game early, they scored five runs in the first inning en route to a 10-0 five-inning win over the South Gallia Lady Rebels.

“We knew there was rain coming and we didn’t want to get backed up, so we started early,” said Lady Vikings’ coach Jeff “Odie” Estep.
