Robert Eugene Webb, 64, of Ironton, died Thursday, May 28, 2009, at a local health care facility. The Lawrence County, Ohio native was born Feb. 26, 1945, the son of the late Jesse H. and Alberta Sisler Webb. He is survived by his wife, Sandra Webb.
Mr. Webb attended Rock Hill High School and was a former employee of Sureway Cab Co for 30 years. He was of the Baptist faith.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a stepdaughter, Devona Porter; and a nephew, Roger Hardy.
In addition to his wife he is survived by three sons, Robert W. Porter and Julie of Ashland, Ky., Dwayne Porter and Chassity of Ironton and Robbie Webb of New York; a stepdaughter: Debra Logan of Columbus; a stepson, Tim Porter of Huntington, W. Va.; a sister: Mary Lou Hardy of Ironton; a brother, Jesse Webb Jr. of Ironton; several grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
Graveside service will be 2:30 p.m. Sunday in LaGrange Cemetery with Chaplain Jimm Smedley officiating. Friends may call from 12-2 p.m. Sunday at Phillips Funeral Home.
